Audio: Let's hear your favorite cover song.

If i'm not mistaken, Black Currant Jam is covering Ben Folds' cover. Or the original Dr. Dre version-- I don't really know. I probably should, considering we're recording tomorrow. Oh well.
So! Quote of the day:
(Seth was telling us about how Japanese men would tie their hair up in ye older days so that the Gods wouldn't pay attention to them as much as they did women, and so people started asking about Japanese warriors.)
"Well," continued Seth, "the Gods would probably know if you were a guy in battle."
"Wait!" interjected Carissa, "What about Mulan?"
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! :) I refuse to make a cheesy update about what I'm thankful for, but I hope that everyone thinks about it, regardless.
And since I'm still on a Ben Folds high:
"Son look at the people lining up for plastic
God made us number one because he loves us the best
Wouldn't you like to see them in the national geographic?
Squatting bare-assed in the dirt eating rice from a bowl
With a towel on their head and maybe a bone in their nose
See that asshole with a peace-sign on his licence plate
Giving me the finger and running me out of his lane
Well maybe He should go bless someone else for a while, give us a rest."Amen, sir.

Dear Ben Folds,
You are absolutely the best person ever. Please clone yourself so that I can have sex with you without feeling like an adulterous asshole.
Love always,
Charline
If that wasn't a hint, the Ben Folds show yesterday was spec-fucking-tacular-- hands down the best concert that i've ever been to. It was worth the ticket price and the twenty dollars that we used to bribe the security guard to let us go in the front of the line (he approached us, for the record). The opening act was Corn Mo, who could best be described as a mix between Queen and Meatloaf. He was not bad, actually, but I was so giddy for Ben to come on that I barely paid attention. Eliav, Amy, Eric and I had bought CVS medical eyepatches and wore them for Learn to Live With What You Are (because he dresses up as a pirate for the music video for that song) and he noticed us! Twice!
It was quite possibly one of the best moments of my life.
For what it's worth, i'm not just a teenage fangirl of the guy. He's one of the most talented lyricists and musicians of our time, and the humor that he injects into his music is fantastically amusing. It doesn't hurt that he has a very strange nerdy attractive thing going on.
I would post photos, but I was using my Dad's piece of shit camera and didn't really get anything good. I can't wait to see him again. I hope he comes around again soon.
